LAKE CHATUGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, INC. WHERE WE TREAT YOUR PETS LIKE FAMILY

Here is Dr. Burr with most of his 4 legged furry family memebers. In order of seniority, Fuzz is the black and white DSH cat who is a 13 year old spayed female. She is Dr. Burr's reading companion. Opie is the Golden Retriever who is an 8 year old neutered male. Opie is named after Andy Taylor's son in the TV show Mayberry. He just might be the sweetest dog in the world and is always ready to go for a walk. Next is Blitzen (means lightening in German) who is a 7 year old spayed Dachshund female. She is a true Dachsund who loves to dig and hates the cold, and she is almost as sweet as Opie except more pig-headed (another Dachsundism). Last but not least is Tango, who is 2 years old. When he was born, he was so orange that we called him tangerine, which soon morphed into Tango. He was a premature C-section baby who Dr. Burr raised on the bottie. Tango only measured 4" from nose to bottom when he was delivered. Now he is a little monster who still likes to suck fingers from time to time.  There have been 2 new additions since this picture was taken.  We believe Grace is an English Fowhound and Anerican Pit Bull cross.  She adopted us as a puppy by just appearing at our back door one evening after work.  Brodie is actually my daughter's (Jessica) dog who is  apartment bound while off to college.  At first we were just keeping him over the summer, but he has taken up more permanent residence.  He is a 3 year old Border Collie and American Pit Bull cross who is clearly established himself as the leader of the pack.  Stay tuned for their pictures soon.

Separate canine and feline boarding wards are available. This shows the feline condos that are available as single or doubles with a window view. Cats are very comfortable here, not only because of the spacious condos and pretty view but also because dogs do not board in the same ward.

In addition to a canine boarding ward, we also have spacious indoor runs that have resting platforms providing extra comfort.

This is the exercise pavilion provided for all boarding dogs. Each dog or family of dogs that is boarding has twice a day access to this spacious enclosed area to stretch their legs and romp about. The surface is soft pea gravel and the design employs french drains for efficient and sanitary cleaning. The lighted exercise pavilion is also used for our obedience training classes.

Here's a picture of the animal hospital from the road.
