Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital is a full service state of the art small animal hospital. We offer complete diagnostic capabilities including the most modern radiographic and laboratory technologies. Soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries are provided as well as the latest in dentistry. In addition to routine surgical services, we also provide specialized soft tissue, orthopedic, and neuorosurgery capabilities including laser surgery and advanced pain managment procedures such as epidurals and acupuncture. The more advanced and specialized surgical services are being provided by Dr. Tim Crowe who is an internationally recognized board certified veterinary surgeon. In July '07, Drs. Crowe and Burr began to offer PST therapy (pulsed signal therapy) which is a new cutting edge treatment modality for various conditions that cause chronic or unresponsive pain (see newsletter page for more information). Dr. Crowe also offers photonic therapy (a form of acupuncture using light energy) and BIOCOM 2000 which is a diagnostic and therapeutic technology that uses electromagnetic energy. Dr. Crowe's affiliation with LCAH makes available many cutting edge procedures that are normally available only at university teaching hospitals or large city specialty practices. He obtained his DVM from Iowa State and received his advanced surgical degrees and completed his surgical residencies at The Ohio State University. He also was on faculty at the veterinary teaching hospital at the University of Georgia for 12 years. We also offer excellent boarding facilities that include a large exercise pavilion for dogs and condos with a view for cats. Nutrition and behavioral counseling is offered, and a small retail area for pet lovers and their special needs. LCAH welcomes all family pets to see us for all their health needs with most products and services being geared for cat and dog family members.

This is a view of the very spacious Action Room. This is like a human emergency room in that multiple things can take place at the same time. This is where patients are prepared for surgery, dentistries are done, and hospitalized patients are treated. This room also contains laboratory equipment (for example, in-house blood analysing machines, wireless ECG and Blood Pressure stations), and computerized doctor and technician stations to work-up and research medical cases. This is the central station of the hospital. The surgery suite, ICU, radiology suite and surgery sterilizing and prep room come off the Action Room like spokes from a central wheel.
